Why the railway is still alive, despite a decade-long decline

NEW YORK (AP) The last railway in New York City is still going strong.

And it’s not just the train cars.

The rails are still running, with new trains and new track every few months.

In a town known for its trains, this is a testament to a legacy that’s been built over the past 50 years.

It’s a legacy the New York Transit Authority, the city’s largest public transit agency, has been fighting to preserve for years.

The agency has fought to keep its old line running to serve New York’s largest metropolitan area.

The agency says that it has spent more than $2 billion to repair its crumbling system, including building a new tunnel to accommodate a future train that will be built at a lower level of the tunnels.

But that money hasn’t kept the lines running on the same schedule they were before.

A new report shows the agency has been able to keep some of the line’s trains running but that’s only a partial success.

The system was once the nation’s most important transportation hub, but by the mid-2000s, its subway and light rail lines were among the most dangerous in the country.

Its system is so crowded, the National Transportation Safety Board in 2013 found that New York subway and subways had more fatalities than other U.S. cities.

That’s made New York an especially vulnerable to terrorism, and in the aftermath of 9/11, the agency began moving trains to places where they would be less likely to be hit by planes.

But those moves didn’t always lead to success.

The last train on the line, in 2014, was one of the last trains left in New Jersey when it ran into a power line, sparking a major fire.

The next train didn’t run for another year.

In 2015, the transit agency said it would start building a tunnel to carry the trains from one terminal in Brooklyn to the next in Queens.

In December, the first tunnel was opened.

But a year later, it was closed.

Last year, a new train was built, but it wasn’t ready for public use until September, when a train hit a power pole, causing an explosion that damaged the station.

The MTA has been working to save the system.

Last year, it opened a tunnel that runs from its old station to the new station on Manhattan’s Upper West Side.

In November, the last train in the tunnel was pulled out.

The tunnel is scheduled to be fully open in 2019.

But it has faced setbacks, including a decision to open the tunnel for one day only in the spring and to close it for two months at a time in the summer, when trains are often delayed.

The New York State Department of Transportation has also spent billions of dollars upgrading the line.

That effort is supposed to bring the subway to a safer, more modern level of safety, but the state has spent millions on the project and is still struggling to complete it.

The DOT plans to close the tunnel in 2019 to save money.

New York City Council Speaker Melissa Mark-Viverito (D) said last year that the MTA had the money and time to complete the project, but “they’ve spent way more time than they should be.”

She added that the agency should focus on other transportation projects.

Mark-Viversito said she was encouraged by the report from the Federal Transit Administration, which estimates that the tunnels will be ready for a train in 2023.

But she said she thinks the MTA will continue to wait for the new tunnel.

“They’re not building the train,” she said.

“They’re building the subway.

And they’re going to keep building the tunnel.”
