Suspension Railway Bridge opens, two trains arrive

Suspension railway bridge opened and two trains have arrived at the scene of a derailment on Friday afternoon.

The derailment happened at approximately 2:40 p.m. near the intersection of the Hoh River Road and the Highway 20 bridge.

The bridge is one of four on the Hoch River in the vicinity of the bridge.

The cause of the derailment is still under investigation.

The Hoch river is the only river on the North Carolina River that runs north to south.

The bridge spans nearly two miles across the bridge, and can be accessed by rail or water.

A bridge is in the process of being repaired.
